Our hoses are made with high-quality, 5000D polyester outer material. The “D” refers to the density. 5000D is thicker than many other expandable hoses.
The thickness of the double layer latex inner tubing is 3.5mm. The full tube is 9.5mm wide. It is actually composed of more than ten layers. We call it double layer because the layers have 2 colors.

Our expandable hoses are made with durable materials which hold up when used on asphalt and concrete surfaces as well as lawns.
We don’t recommend this, however it can be done. To do this you must fully unravel the hose and fill it with water and let it drain before you first wind it onto the reel. When using an expandable hose on a reel, you must unreel the entire hose each time you use it, or the hose won’t be able to properly expand. Also, it’s important not to pull on the hose like you would a traditional garden hose. This could damage the inner tubing. Just unravel the hose and let it expand. Then drain it completely before winding it back up.
